About
Welcome!
We currently offer a number of courses, and are planning on more in the future. Our current lineup includes:Aerobics, Art, Bridge, Choir, Computer, Creative Writing, Folk Dancing, Recorder, and Sculpture Workshop. We are also working on introducing a Book Discussion Group, Lecture and/or Film series, Games Afternoon, Knitting group, and Mah Jong. Click HERE to see a short description of each course.
The Creative Social Center was founded 28 years ago to provide a variety of opportunities for learning, physical well-being, and friendship in a warm atmosphere. Members play an active role as volunteers and in suggesting ideas for improvements. There are also excursions to museums and places of interest. All our teachers are experienced and helpful.
Courses
- AEROBICS: Includes Yoga. This is a peremnnial favorite. Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 AM to 12 PM- ART: Drawing and Painting. All levels are welcome and work together in a co-operative fashion. Media include charcoal, pastel, acrylics, and watercolor. Wednesday from 10 AM to 12 PM and 1 PM to 3 PM.- BRIDGE (NEW): We have room for several tables in a very pleasant atmoshpere, with a knowledgable supervisor present. Mondays from 1 PM to 3 PM.- CHOIR: Do you enjoy singing? This is all that is required. Thursday at 1 PM.
- COMPUTER: We have classes for beginners as well as for the more advanced students. Tuesdays 12 to 1:30 PM.- CREATIVE WRITING: An opportunity to learn how to express the ideas and feelings that have been searching for an outlet. Monday at 1:30 PM- FOLK DANCING: Beautiful movements and beautiful music! All levels are accepted.- RECORDER: Learn to play this ancient instrument and create beautiful music. Wednesday 9 -11 AM.- SCULPTURE WORKSHOP: Available 4 days a week. Instruction and critique - Wednesday 9:30 AM to 12 PM
